Dr. Shigeko Saiki-Craighill

Shigeko Saiki-Craighill received her doctorate in nursing sciences from the University of California, San Francisco in 1994. Currently she is a professor of Nurshing and Medical Care at Keio University, specializing in qualitative research methodology with a research emphasis in the medical culture surrounding pediatric cancer patients and their families. Her major publications include “The Trajectory of the Battle: The development of the mother when a child is lost to cancer” (Kawashima Shoten, 1999/2002), “A Seminar in Qualitative Research Methodology “(Igaku Shoin, 2005), and “The Grounded Theory Approach” (Shinyosha, 2006).
