We are very happy to announce that a portion of sales of the book series "Reading in English – Folk Tales from Japan” and “Folk Tales from the World” will be donated by Japan Times to support the Tyler Foundation.
"Reading in English – Folk Tales from Japan Books 1-5" and "Reading in English
- Folk Tales from Around the World Books 1-5" are published by Japan Times. These books, designed for people studying English, present traditional stories and fairy tales in easy-to-understand English. In addition to the well-written texts themselves, the storytelling CDs accompanying the books have been receiving good reviews. As a little added surprise, Tyler’s mother, Kimberly Forsythe, narrates the stories on the CD.
Just a side note - though these books are designed for Japanese studying English, we’re certain native English-speaking children would enjoy listening to the stories as well!
Up through June, 2007, a total of 230,000 yen has been raised for the Tyler Foundation! Thank you, Japan Times, for your generous support!
